Ragnar Alpaca
Your stuff is so impressive. And that shelf full of things looks quite amazing, no doubt it would take a long time to paint it all. Where do you get inspiration to make all of this? It all has a very unique and beautiful style.
Kronos
@Ragnar Alpaca Thank you very much, thats very kind. I mostly get inspiration from artwork, old and new, latley I’ve loved what the group of artists working for Total war did for the conspet art and also the digital renders. Most of the time it just happens, the odd leg or arm fits right, and sometimes, like the Cragg Troll Twins and jabberslythe, models will have several rounds of hacking and remaking until I’m happy with an outcome. Kisufisu
Damn that was fast! I love the the balance of the colors, especially the purple hits the eye just perfectly!
Kronos
@Kisufisu thanks man, glad you like the paintjob. Really struggled with what to do to make them look corrupted. Hopefully the Purple comes throuh as unnatural. Some more dryad pics, and the next unit to be painted, the mutant Gors.

Kronos
All that beastmen news got me excited and gave me some inspiration to do more work on the Jabberslythe. Still have arms, second wings and a few bits of gs. Will also glue that 60mm base onto a larger base and blend it in. Very happy with him so far, not least because he’s the first flying creature in the army.
Kronos
Two very early wip for my Slaves to Darkness side of the army. First up is a Mammoth, got the body fairly cheap from mierce as a miscast, no haed or bits etc, may buy the right leg though for a bit of unit, or may do something mutated. The other is the beginning ng of My take on Wulfric.

Kronos
After seieng the beautiful Gavespawn art I was inspired to rework my gors, more horns, twisted the original, and added cowls. Im now also very happy that my Morghur ties in with the actual narrative. Also included a pic of my wip pestigor Chariot.
whiskeytango
I absolutely love your work. Very, very evocative, and equally inspirational. If you don't mind me asking, where are Morghurs Head and mane of hair from? I just can't place them, and it's driving me crazy.

Morghur's head is the minotaur from zombicide, his cowl is konrad curze's cape split in two and his mane is from Magnus the Red, although that was a pain as the complete piece was too bulky so i had to toy around with the orginal assembly of it, then I threw as much hair bits and skulls, mostly ghorgon that i could. the skull manse/cowl wood are pieces wooden cage from the giant kit. Nin Win
I find Kronos' creations to be downright terrifying. All the various stock AoS monsters type kits that you can buy are all big and rawr and all that, but if you actually saw one emerge from the darkness, they'd be far, far less shocking than anything in this thread.
Boss Salvage
Have I not posted in this blog yet? Because you're still brilliant Kronos, thanks for being a constant source of equal parts mayhem and inspiration. I did think of you when the Brayherd spoilers went up - I'm a long time Morghur fan and thrilled to see him return / get a subfaction of this own, but you're the true king when it comes to our favorite great bray and father of spawn. Apart from the praise, I wanted to ask where Vilitch's sword is from? I know the body is from The Others, I just can't place that GW sword ... ... waitasec. That's Nagash's Mortis Blade, isn't it? Forgot he had one ? So anyway, the praise still stands!
Kronos
@Nin Win thank you very much Im goad that aspect is coming through the miniatures. @Boss Salvage thats incredibly kind of you, thank you, all these comments are great motivation to see the project through too. As you spotted the sword is from Nagash, i just tweaked the Hilt with some bits from Juggernaught blades. Nagashes cloak is currently being used to make a Valnir with plague bearer spirits, but havent got further thna floating cape and so,e plague bearer skulls so it may be a while, till I post him....too distracted with goats. Kronos
@Thenord Thank you very much. If you do I promise they would have a good home. Update on the Pestigpr Chariot, made my Razorgor replacment, fair amount still left to d9 though, and also need a second Razogor. Kronos
Some pics of my new lot of trolls, some of you may have seen my 3 other completed (not painted) Chaos troll also converted from bile troll. I thought the kit had enough potential to kitbash and not produce a similar Troll, and I was right. I also made 4 oit of the unit of 3 and the two made from one are actually two favourites so far! I like the idea of Chaos Troll not truly regenerating but rather mutating and devolving after each wound. The more monstrous, the more battle worn the Troll is. This is evident in the split Troll where the original Troll‘s whole chest stomach and half of its face are now forming into a giant maw. Which suspiciously is actually starting to look quite trollish. The idea will be that the mutation will almost look like a walking giant Chaos Troll head. Like my other three Chaos Trolls theres much work to do. Some free style sculpting, more mutations, and the odd spike or two to add.
