Uveron
Greetings all. Wellcome to the first post of my Painting Blog! I am going to use this one page for both my Chaos and Death forces. At the time of this first post my main force I am working on is a mortal Khorne unit that I am painting for an escalation league. In time I will return to show images of my completed units. Which is where I will start with today’s post. A few weeks ago I decided I needed another Chaos lord in my collection, I looked though my bix box and realized I had all the parts apart from a pair of legs. The next day I was talking to one of my mates about this and he showed up with the single Snap fit Storm cast Liberator and he said I thought I could use it for the legs. So I got out my clipers and realized I kind a liked the whole torso. So with a bit of work I put together this guy: I then added green stuff and paint, and got this! I am not that happy with the head at the moment and may try and return to it one day to try and touch it up to make it more bone like..
Uveron
Greetings It todays update I carry on going over my old painted models. Today is my unit of Chaos Warhounds. I brought these guys to be Dire wolves in my Vampire Counts army. I never got around to painting them as the End Times Hit. Well last month when I decided to start work on my Chaos forces, I decided that they should be painted up. I had converted them into Direwolves by removing many of the normal ‘mutated’ parts so the first step of getting them ready for the Chaos army was to give them ‘tails’ again. So I went through my bits box and reattached them. I painted them in two sets. 5 have a brown base to the fur the other 5 have a Gray base though with the ivory drybrush at the end its hard to tell.. At some point I think I would like another 10 of these guys. They were fun to paint… nice and easy. This also was the first unit I experimented with the snow base, which is going to be standard for my Chaos Mortal Army.
Uveron
Greetings. Today I want to show of some photos of my Chaos Marauders. I used a mix of kits to put them together; I built these from a random selection of parts from a bits box I had built for building a 40k Renegade 40k Army. This let me build some interesting models. The following are some of my favorite conversions and paint jobs , then bellow the cut I have a random mix of images of the whole force. (These images come from screenshots of the following images) This guy used a head from the Marauder Horsemen kit, and an arm from the Catachan Devastator kit. And then this guy also used a part from the Catachan Range, the arm aggressively holding the shield is actually a grenade throwing arm. But it works well to show someone in the middle of a block. Thundercake
these guys look good! If you want some constructive feedback, I'd say to work on cleaning up the edges of the bases and filing off mold lines before you paint next time.

I do plan on getting the edges of the Bases finished, at some point soon. Its a project I just need to get started.. I have been putting it off. As for the moldlines, The Catachan is really bad for them.. I filed them down, but left enough of a raise for my wash heavy painting system to pick them out. I probaly will not be using them in my Display army anyway. Going to pick the best 20 for that.,
Uveron
Greetings, Last night I was able to finish up a few units that have been sitting on my painting Que. One Blood Stoker and 10 Blood Reavers. These guys were painted to my ‘table top’ standard, which is to say some detail has been missed, but they look good from a distance. If the Bloodstoker makes it into a list that I will take to an event I will return to it and pick out some of the detail (Like the skin though the hole in the pants) I will also try and get a better photo of the Reavers, when I get somewhere with better lighting. (I work on an oil rig, so the photo is taken in my bunkroom)
Uveron
Greetings, Today we return to looking models I have finished before I started this Plog. This time it’s a Khorgorath, this guy is a stock build, with no conversions. Again he has a basic paint job to him though I did spend some time trying to play with a ‘fire effect’ on the ‘brand’ on the chest of the Khorgorath. Uveron
Greetings, Today I wanted to show a few extra photos of my Deamon Prince. He Is one of my favorite models in my collection, as he includes a number of conversions. Items of note are A Iron Collar from the Juggernaut Kit, the use of a ‘head plate’ from the Juggernauts to make a ‘buckler’ on his offhand. The uses the ‘head’ from the 40k defiler kit for the brass mask. I then used a second shoulder pad from another Deamon Prince kit, and some small icons to it this gave him a more armored look
awcamawn
Some really brutal looking stuff here; great job! Really like the earthy tones, seems fitting that the main color is BLOOD.
Davariel
Really nice stuff you've got here. Gritty, dark and dirty seems to suit Khorne armies exceptionally well - keep up the good work

Though using Reds over Yellows and Blacks (Hazard Striping) though the principle is the same. It does lead to the effect that if I am playing against something like a well painted stormcast army in a store, that people will say that the table looks great but then will look at the stormcast army more. Uveron
Greetings! Today, I present something I painted last month for the Painting Contract for October 2017. At the start of the year I acquired a Temple of Skulls, it has been glued together but still needed to be painted. So I sat down with a pile of poster paints, a 6 pack of beer and was able to put this together in one evening. I then added some snow to match the bases of the army, my plan is that this will be a part of my display table when I put the army together for events next year! More Below the Cut Spoiler
Uveron
Greetings! Today I managed to get some photos of my Blood Warriors! These guys are out the core box, with no conversions. I painted them initial into steel plate amour, with brass fixings. Using a Ironbreaker base, then a runfang drybrush. I then used a mix of liberator Gold, and a red glaze to paint the blood effects on the amour. (As the Fluff states that they paint the amour with Blood) something Iam not doing with my reavers, but thought it looked ace on the Warriors. And it will help mark them out from my Chaos Warrior units, if I end up mixing kits.
Uveron
Greetings! Well today I have my Bloodsecrator! Simple head swap on this guy, as I wanted something that looked a bit unique for my collection. (And help with painting scores at events I may enter). Otherwise I painted in the same way I painted my blood warriors. In the future I do plan on getting a second Bloodsecrator, and do a more impressive conversion with him. But that is something for the third phase of development of my Khorne forces.
Antonio Rodrigues
Good job! I really liked the muted colors, it makes the blood and gore on the minis show more and give a very savage look to them! Fantastic!

Uveron
Greetings, Today I will move away from my mortal Khorne units, and show off my Soul Grinder. I brought the Soul Grinder kit for parts, a few years ago. (Its head mostly, as I used it on my Khorne Daemon Knight for my 40k Army), well I decided that I also wanted a Soul Grinder for my Deamons so I dug though my bits box, and found the unused Knight Head and much to my delight discovered that it worked quite well as a replacement head. I then decided to add some extra amour plates, for this I used some shoulder pads from the daemon prince kit , and I think it adds something. In taking these photos I noticed a few places that I missed with extra coats of paint, so I guess he will be returning to my painting table before too long.. Uveron
Greetings! Today we look at another allied unit for my Mortal Khorne army. A Unit of 3 Bullgores, These guys were brought a few years ago to be used as summoned wingless demon princes for my 40K Deamonkin army. But they sat unpainted for the last few years, so when I quickly painted them as a fill in unit for my Mortal Army, while I wait on purchasing other models. Limited conversion was done to these models, mostly in adding extra armored plates to them, though I personally think the use of the juggernaut crest gives is the best change I did. I do plan on at some point in the future getting some more of these guys, so I can get the weapon options set right (at the moment I count the guy with the Big Axe as the champion of the unit. But I do want to add a Banner and Drums to the unit as well.
Uveron
Greetings, Today its back to the mortal units in my Khorne army. This time the Mighty Lord of Khorne, and his pet. On the conversion front I decided to do a head swap, and then add the unused hair bit from the BloodSecrator. I painted him up in the same way I painted my Blood Warriors, and actually used the Paints Apps instructions for the fleshhound. Overall Iam happy with the model, a few things I would do differently again if I did it again, and he will get a revist if he makes it into my tournament list. Uveron
Greetings, Today's Model is my take on Skarr Bloodwrath, A few years ago I was collecting a Daemon army to ally with my Chaos Marines in 40K, I was in need of a Good Second Herald of Khorne, and didnt want to deal with resin. So in browsing the local Games Workshop I found the clampack of Skarr Bloodwrath. And reslised that with some small changes he would make a great Herald. So I replaced the head for a spare bloodletter head and a icon part, for the head., got rid of the chains on the axes; Iam very happy with this conversion. I have used him a fair bit as both Skarr and as a Herald.
Uveron
Greetings, Today's update is a Magewrath Throne I finished last night. For this model I use tApple Barrel Craft Paint, Poster Paint. Start with a Pavement Grey, then to a lighter Grey (Drybrushing the whole model), Hit up then a earthshade wash.. I then go in a edge highlight some parts with the GW paint Dawnstone, and then drybrushed the whole model in bleached bone. Then I wash different parts of the model, the base was washed in fleshshade, the statues in azure Blue, the chair in black and earthshade. (I then used reds for the seat of the chair)
Praecautus
I am sure others have said, but excellent minis. The colour selection makes all of them look suitable for Khorne ?
Uveron
Greetings, Todays I though I would start to dig into my Demons a bit more.. First up is my Primary Herald of Khorne. This chap is the guy who normally rides on the Bloodthrone, but by using the base from a Chaos Space Marine Terminator Lord, and clipping out the chains from one hand, Quite Happy with this one. Uveron
Greetings, Well I was able to make it home for a few days and have been able to get some photos of my other Chaos Forces. So today may I present my nurgle daemon prince. This model has extensive conversions, and I really like him. First up the arms and head (and Vomit) from the Fellwater Troggoths Kit. I repositioned the wings, and then added the heads from the plague drone kit, and a few other trophies. The base is also built with greenstuff and, gloop pile from the plagueclaw catapult. Now the head may be a touch large, but to me this gives him a 'bat like' feeling...
Uveron
Greetings, Before I run off to go to a cabin in the woods for thanksgiving I thought I would share another group of models. These were built to be proxy beasts of Nurgle but I have used them as Chaos Spawn, and Ogres, and even Trolls! Quite the Versatile little guys. They are built from Fellwater Troggoths Its a easy build just using heads spare from Plague Drones, now it was a ball to ball joint so it required some greenstuffs around the neck, I also used a bit of green stuff to make some nurgle pox marks.. Very fun kit and going to add another 3 or so to my army one day.
