CitizenX
I have to hope that updated KO is on possibly on that list if the conversation I had with my daughter earlier is correct. (Looking highly likely that she's entering the hobby with a KO start collecting box)
Sleboda
From your lips to Science's ears. I need motivation to take this thing to the next level. Right now it's only the deadline of Adepticon that is pushing me to paint it.
Shankelton
Feel we need to see the next battletome teasers if they are keeping up to the schedule. Probably some kind of sisters update for 40k. Though I imagine it'd be 40k light after Shadowspear. My personal guess for battletomes, prob KO and Sylv. As much as I'd love Ogors, I really doubt it's in the cards lol
Future
I hope we hear about lizard men next for a tome refresh.
King Taloren
Oh I’m sure lizards are on for a update soon. My guess is they will put seraphon and another (possibly chaos army) in a double update like FEC and Skaven since outside of a couple of model updates and endless spells lizards don’t need much aside from a small 2.0 balancing and putting Kroaks smashed abilities in the rulebook instead of FAQ. Future
Hopefully, they need all new warscrolls, spell lores, and some good command abilities and synergies. It would be a pretty major overhaul but I agree they don't need models.
Aeryenn
So Games Workshop actually fixes Khorne by warscrolle changes. Great changes. I really like what they did with Blodsecrator and Wrathmongers. Getting the book defenitely. Now it's time for Kharadron Overlords to have their warscrolls rewritten. 😀

I could see them doing this kind of thing for some of the warscolls for the other older factions as well although I'm not too familiar with Fyreslayers, Sylvaneth, Ironjawz, Tzeentch or Beastclaw Raiders so I'm not really sure if it's needed or not. In two weeks I will have an small tournament with at least 3 khorne players. Time will tell if they are "that" bad.

I agree it’s very likely but can’t remember it being 100% confirmed.

I agree it’s very likely but can’t remember it being 100% confirmed. Well in terms of trends it is : we had the 3 others armies from Malign Portents having their Heralds + Underworlds bands + army release ; Darkoath currently have Herald +Uunderworld warband, they just miss the army release. Between Warcry, Scourage of Fate, the multiplication of "soup" battletomes, the importance of Archaon in the narrative, a Slave To Darkness (new Darkoath models, current STD range, Everchosen) tome is guaranteed sooner than later. Slaanesh (40k/AOS) should come later, because : - For AOS, Slaanesh is a very determinant event in the fluff (not saying Slaanesh army elease means Slaanesh escape, but a Slaanesh tome would mean having to explain many things on Hysh and Ulgu and the other Aelf factions, which are not coming so soon regarding what GW said of army releases this year). - For 40k, why not, but having Emperor's Children and Fulgrim (lots of teases in the fluff indeed) right after Black Legion seems problematic. Overread
Daughters of Khaine live in the realm of shadow as well and GW released their Tome already, so there's no reason they can't release Slaanesh's based on having to flesh out the shadow realm. In fact its not a bad thing if GW fleshes it out more and builds a slow increase in hype for the new dark aelf faction that lives there before they come on the scene. As for escape that's never been required - there's huge sieges and battles and assaults and greater demons acting without their God. In fact unlike Sigmar, the Chaos Gods are actually very in the background for most of the time. It's their agents the greater demons who actually tend to be the spearhead of many mortal interactions. This is true even for Skaven where the Great Horned One hardly appears much and its his Verminlords who are again controlling things and twisting them. So the armies of Slaanesh and the Tome can fully exist without Slaanesh being released. There's a wealth of story to setup there and if the great prince were ever to escape that can purely be a story thing without any new models attached to it.

I see where you’re coming from. However the darkoath underworld band hasn’t even been released yet. I can’t remember how much time there was between the Gloomspite gits band and their eventual faction release. If darkoath get a release date at adepticon the time range of Gloomspite gits may point towards a release schedule for darkoath. In regards to Slaanesh, i believe it will be sooner than a full darkoath release. Slaanesh are very much involved with factions already released as part of the soul wars story arch. I think we’ll see the new aelves youre referring to released towards the end of the year/very early next year, which will herald the end of the soul wars story arch. I mostly agree with you here, but that's precisely why I think Slaanesh is end 2019 or early 2020, after STD. 2019 looks like the "Year Of Chaos Undivided" with Black Legion, Warcry, Traitor Guard in BSF ; so Slaves To Darkness seems logical, and thats without counting the MP Herald-Underworld Warband-Full army release trend... Also, there was no full army release for any AOS army that didn't get a MP Herald : between Sacrosant, Nighthaunt and Gloomspite Gitz, there was only "filler weeks" / Battletomes with Faction Scenery / Endless spells and maybe 1-2 characters (Khorne Daemons being an exception, because 40k compatible I guess). I think it's obvious Slaanesh will get a full army release, with Mortals, Greater Daemon, etc. ; so they should come after STD, the end of the Soul Wars narrative arch with Forbidden Power, and the Aelves of Ulgu - Hysh releases, i.e. at least end 2019... Then (and thats appropriate here), GW release pattern is quite ... chaotic, so we'll have to wait for 27th March & Adepticon for the next sets of predictions

Gw confirmed that slaanesh will be coming in 2019, it’s just a case of when. If it’s end of 2019 that will mean it’s been a year between wrath and rapture and a slaanesh tome which I see as being unlikely. If everything is based on trends, slaanesh would have been released months ago (based on blightwars and maggotkin). Yeah, and don't get me wrong, I would love a Slaanesh release as much as an Undivided one. The "army box trend" is quite confuse IMO : the Blightwar set / Maggotkin timing was a strange occurence (wasn't there technical problems involved ?), different from Carrion Empire with FEC and Skavens quasi simultaneous, and now the Khorne side of W&R which is already out. On the contrary, the "MP Herald+WHU warband + Full army trend" is yet to be proven false and much more stable, and with the flow of Chaos Undivided releases plus Forbiden Power coming soon I think GW is still going with that narrative & release arc, and won't change it now. 41 minutes ago, NurglesFirstChosen said: How long was it between the Gloomspite warband and faction release? Zarbag's git was out in October 2018, and Gloomspite Gitz in January 2019, so 3 months in-between. (Nightvault was release in September 2018, while Soul Wars was release in June 2018, so also 3 months, but the other way around : first Full army, then WHU warbands ). We have rumors for STD this summer, so around Warcry, and that would be more or less 3 months after the Godsworn Hunt warband release....
