It looks like the kind of thing you could kit bash from one of the unit boxes. It also feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth to bring out yet another stormcast character a week after the cities book came out with no character model release. I felt that kick in the teeth. Exactly how you describe it. I saw the new Stormcast guy and I thought "Goddammit, you could make a new Stormcast but not a new Freeguild general? YOU HACKS!". Then I got better. Kinda feels odd for GW to say they are coming in October when they are going to appear in November Still they are coming and its so soon just just till next month! I posted this a couple of times but it is worth repeated. When gw talks dates it is ALWAYS the preorder date and never the release date. I also posted when they were first announced that the preorder would be the closest Saturday to Halloween. As for the future gw is doing its next preview event at spiel on October 24th to 27th and then another at blood and glory in the first week of November. Those two events should tell us a lot about the near future.

I don't think we will see all of it. Just not enough time. Warcry and Underworlds aren’t technically specialist games, not that that necessarily precludes them being released alongside specialist games stuff. GeneralZero
So, we're done for the 40k & primaris at the end of the week. What's next for AoS? What are the news about the supposed Chaos last battletome before the end of the year? Only 2 possibilities out there: StD & DoT.

michu
New preview of Ossiarch Bonereapers! With each spoiler I love them more... https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/10/14/a-hat-worthy-of-nagash-new-hero-revealedgw-homepage-post-2/ EDIT: Who's going to add some small skeletal scribe to that Soulmason? Overread
OOH they spoke of Crawlers in the plural sense!! That means more than one or two perhaps even three at once isn't unreasonable! There's also now only one model that was shown in the leaked photos (only just) that we've not seen - the one hovering over a large skull and apparently reassembling another reaper. After that we might have seen it all. Edited October 14, 2019 by Overread
sandlemad
This guy rules. Pleasantly surprised he's not a special character. I love the callbacks to both Arkhan and Nagash. The hat, that particular gem, the broad shape of the staff, the casual use and abuse of spirit hosts, there's the real feel of a structured hierarchy of undead sorceror-priests, hundreds of them shuffling through shadowy fanes and temples in Gothizzar, Nagashizzar and across Shyish, politicking with and against each other for Nagash's favour. The hat is very pope-y but the pose is that of a brahmin or Buddhist sage, nice combination of influences with a clear feel being aimed for. It's also cool to see that there will be more than one character for the Mortisian priesthood, this Soulmason and then that (less senior? different discipline?) hovering dude from the first Ossiarch preview. HollowHills
Anyone else hate bonereapers? For me they are just far too extreme in their look. It comes off as wacky.

GeneralZero
I don't plan to start this new bonereaper army (but I like it). Instead, I'm waiting more information about how I can play Arknhan and morghasts in this army. I really love those ones and I'm ready to invest more morghast for my death army that can be plaid in bonereaper too. From there, I "need" the catapult for my death army and also the 2 miniatures that blew my mind: the Gothizzar Harvester and the Patru Zandtos. I'm expecting an army full of morghasts backed up by catapults and wizzards!
Overread
@GeneralZero I suspect you might have to put some regular troops into the army for battleline; otherwise that could be a very possible list!
