ManlyMuppet88
New season of Underworlds does kinda make sense, they usually drop around this time of year. As long as COVID didn't push it back too far on the schedule.
Overread
GW has been entertaining the idea of year long schedules for releases for the specialist games. Corona has shot them to bits though and I'd wager until Corona is gone we won't see GW forecasting too far ahead for a while. It's simply not worth it to plan too far ahead and to market that info in case everything falls apart again with another series of lockdowns; transport shutdowns or even issues with material supply etc.... So I'd wager we might see the normal 3 month or so previews give way to 1 to 2 month preview windows. Simply because that means if it does all fall apart there's less "promised" on the table and more held back that they can market to us during a lockdown phase. sandlemad
Underworlds preview sounds pretty plausible. The Nightvault and Beastgrave teasers dropped in August, though both started off with simple name reveals so I wouldn't necessarily hold my breath to find out what exactly the new starter box will be like, The shadow reference feels like it could well the Khainites and a possible new Warcry box, which might also connect to this broken realms. 17 hours ago, KingBrodd said: Broken Realms?! Seems to be a good split 3/3 on showings. Hopefully the AOS side of things gets the lions share as I'm sure GW has noticed, online in cesspools' such as Facebook, that some of the AOS community is getting angsty. I for one am just glad it's not another 40K only Preview!!
alghero81
Super excited by what is coming next. They already showed all they could about Sons and Lumineth so I doubt there will be anything related to them, anything else would be completely new and out of the blue! @Neverchosen, to answer your previous question it seems WU is more a practice field for trying new things they cannot within established armies. They did mention something similar to this in a podcast. While Kurnothi were advertised as “the first” we see of them, implying there’s more to come (one day), Rippa and band seems so far to be a one off. Sepulchral guard is also out of context not matching the previous skeletons or the new Ossiarchs and for months was not usable in AoS until they finally merged them with Legions. The Slaves warband is also interesting as it seemed to herald a new wave of Slaves release following the Darkoath style but that also never happened and Slaves got only many Warcry warbands as compensation. Everything else by memory, more or less fits the existing army in which they were placed but only Gloomspite has some sort of coincidental timeline with the release of new models. They could show off the Sons sprues perhaps or what else is within the box such as extras. Or show the Battletome and Warscroll cards. I just feel bad for the Lumineth and Sons because their hype has taken a hit.

I know how excited you are and not wanting to detract anything but they mentioned new models and is unlikely they are going to show sprues in a preview show... just setting the right expectations. I agree the long delay didn’t do them justice but what we need to know now is about rules and is unlikely to talk about them in model preview show. Little bit more patience, October is just behind the corner... For me I’m just wishing this awful 2020 comes to an end and we all get back to our lives as soon as possible. I completely agree mate and I do just want new things shown, the Sons can be shown off in Community Articles I'm sure and fingers crossed for the Lore Lord Phil Kelly to do a podcast on them. As soon as the vaccine is out and ready for people I think is when any real degree of normality will return. Too many people I know seem to think that once there are no cases it's done, look at NZ itll come back.

I am just stoked for Lumineth as I was when I decided to start collecting them. I just put a pile of my space marines on my painting table that I figured would be a challenging but very possible painting goal to work on before the Lumineth are released. So I have a painting goal deadline I want extra time to complete competing with my desire to start work on my new aelf army. I don't know how many people it would help them stay excited, but it has been working great for me. I have been rapidly closing in catching up painting everything my space marine army (something GW seem determined to not let me do churning out more and more marines) while not getting bored waiting to start this new army. 4
Vasshpit
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/08/17/know-your-greenskins/ Do these little educational articles ever foreshadow anything or are they just random? I'd appreciate some new greenskins of either AoS or 40k!!

That's great! Being an idiot and buying 3 Lumineth boxes has kept me busy before they are actually released, lol. It's sad that the box doesn't really function as a starter set alone (army doesn't really work without archers and a mage), otherwise the Lumineth would have been already in a pretty good place. But only a few weeks more.
Overread
The box was very clearly intended to be a "week 1 wave" to be fast followed up by a general release that Corona stopped happening. Much like how Ossiarchs launched with Feast of Bones in the first week.

Tittliewinks22
Looks like FEC to me. Hopefully a FEC warband for underworld that has suitable standins for the courtiers in AoS
sandlemad
The slight webbing between the fingers, a chiropteran webbing almost, does make it look like some sort of vampire. Given that there's been pretty definite soulblight hints recently, I'd put it as something connected to that. Maybe not specifically a necrarch but something that fills the same conceptual space as the necrarchs. Otherwise the usual wildcard answers: something for Warcry or the theoretical new WHQ. What's with the skull though? Is it dissolving into smoke? Some sort of ritual ingredient being magically consumed? 30 minutes ago, Tittliewinks22 said: Looks like FEC to me. Hopefully a FEC warband for underworld that has suitable standins for the courtiers in AoS The fingers aren't a million miles from the archregent, similar webbing although different finger/claw ratios, but I wouldn't hold my breath for a new UW team when the last season already had an FEC warband. Realmhead
And here I was dead certain (ehe) that it was some sort of Nighthaunt gribbly, holding its own severed head. Ya know, one of those grisly campfire-story types
Ogregut
To me I get the picture of a vampire in mid change. His noble features that allow to pass unnoticed dissolving into his true form of beastial nightmare. The mask of his face literally falling away to reveal the uglyiness of his soul beneath.
