You needed the (newly released) 1st ed. warhammer40k Rogue Trader rules and the book of the Astronomicon supplement to use them The reasoning behind it was that Khorne didn't do the magic thing, but daemon weapons and technology or arcana that assisted in killing were fine, so he gifted his devout with technology if they were particularly favoured. It was a bit different then in terms of you could spend points on a hero or unit to got a roll on a mutations / chaos gifts matrix. One of those rolls on the khorne specific gifts / rewards was technology, so you could have a chaos warrior unit with bolt guns or melta cannons - most of the time they just got bolt pistols or power weaponry Like I say, I do hope it it is khorne, they get rethought into lots of smashy as opposed to lots of hitty that they are now. it just fits more into their look and lore rather than being all flurry of blows. novakai
Tide tables where find, it was just high tide that people felt strongly about since It was combo too well when IDK had stacking buffs and everyone hated the activation wars. Forgotten nightmare it probably the rule that most people are wondering if they kept. I am not surprise Ash waste got delay since I felt like Specialist game are the one that would take the hit the most when it comes to delay. I don’t think it means GW are that far behind is just that the main games are likely to get prioritize over stuff like Necromunda and Adeptus Titanicus. You need to be pretty plugged in to the AoS sphere to even hear about them, but if you are, you are probably knowledgable enough to know that they are not good deals. Bundles without a discount are a worse than buying models individually, not better. The art print you get with them is not worth committing to such a big miniature purchase unless you were already going to buy all the minis individually, anyway. And that seems like a really unlikely situation most of the time, in my opinion. It’s difficult to imagine. I’d guess that’s it big collectors who are contemplating a new army. I mean for some reason there are people who order off the GW store at all. So it would be easy to buy a bundle for sticker price and have a new army. And free picture.
Noserenda
One of my gaming group buys bundles like these off GW but purely because hes been burned by third party retailers and likes the serving suggestion essentially. We were low key ribbing him for months because he bought some "all the warhounds" bundle for AT despite running mostly Warlords all the time and had way more cards etc than he would ever need even if he did field em for example
Kitsumy
ok if rumours are true despite every new ritual are pretty low effect and lackluster, the one on turn 1 is totally opressive and not fun against some armyes. (is inmune to shotting outside 12").... as idk player i hated other 4 rituals since only could have 1 instead a propper prayer table, but that new ritual isnt fun. there is a reason why cloak relic was nerfed. why cant gw propperly balance something??.. doing balanced and fun rules isnt so hard Edited March 2, 2022 by Kitsumy 1

Though the actual impact of that ritual effect will depend on the wording - whether it's literal immunity to shooting, or just prevents drawing line of sight for example.
Doko
As every dual release, idoneths got huge buffs(new reavers are the best shooting unit of the game, thalls the best infantry, and now in a meta of shooting they are inmune to shooting in the most important turn) while fyreslayers only got nerf after nerf......so we allready know what designers team got each lol
Ogregut
Did I miss something? Why does the coin this month being for the Ash wastes mean that GW is 6 months off course? March has only just begun, why can't Ash wastes be released this month? They teased it in the new year preview and they generally only show stuff within a 3 month window. Now I’m not sure if this is the case wirh the newest bundles, haven’t had the chance yet to calculate the cost of the separate boxes. You get lack of choice for the privilige not to get third party retailer discounts!

HollowHills
I honestly doubt either high tide or forgotten nightmares will have changed much based on what I've heard. All the talk is about Idoneth being a solid competitive pick and hard to see that being the case if either rule is nerfed.

As for High Tide, I suspect that GW will reign it in a bit, probably along the lines of pick 2-3 units to fight first in the combat phase. Still really good, but not oppressively so. The thing I'm interested in is what the Idoneth PtG rules are gonna be like. Edited March 2, 2022 by OkayestDM

Doko
The new preview showing us the change to our allready attack first cp.... Old was for every turn, new only enemh turn Old was every situation, new only if enemy have charged Old hadnt limits in number of use,new only one time per game per unit So far 3 nerfs for the same old hability and 0 buffs......in the style of every new leak of the book Yes other negative post, but is hard be positive when AGAIN other preview and is again other big nerf.
