selnik
Any idea why the General's Handbook is "sold out online" on the GW webstore? That suggests it's not coming back in stock, but it's supposed to be valid for 12 months isn't it?

EntMan
Not a rumour, but something I've noticed recently, with the Webstore now called Warhammer, and the physical shops are now Warhammer shops (and have been for a few years), is there anywhere where Games Workshop still refer to themselves as Games Workshop? Is it all just Warhammer now?

I think is not that easy to change the brand name in terms of legal stuff, but in the end is a good move. If you are not too deep into GW stuff, you just call them warhammer. It is a nice branding move.

Oh for sure, and I think that it is a great idea. WARHAMMER should be the "brand" they push across all platforms. I like their direction, having 4 distinct "Warhammer Settings" to place their games. Warhammer 40,000 - Kill Team, Necromunda, Quest Warhammer AoS - Warcry, Underworlds, Quest Warhammer The Horus Heresy - Adeptus Titanicus, Legions Imperialis Warhammer The Old World - Bloodbowl (Would love to see a return of Warmaster or Mordheim in the future) It's cohesive, legible, makes sense and covers all you could want from Warhammer-type settings.

Bloodbowl is a definite different universe/setting of its own. And what about Middle Earth?

It is almost sure that Middle Earth exploitation rights are not gonna be renewed because Embracer, the new owner of the rights, have Asmodee that makes games too Edited December 13, 2023 by Nezzhil

Even if it is its own setting, it is gruped under TOW on the website, as it is the clossest they have in terms of "main game". Middle Earth is a Specialists Game like many others (Necromunda, Warcry, Underworld...)

Imho too simple for Hobgrots, too blackpowder for Gitz/Gitmob. 2 minutes ago, Nezzhil said: I still can't see a new Cities wave on the next 6 months It's happened before (Lumineth), and most likely it's a smaller wave (either just Callis and Toll or them and some Devoted with maybe some weirdo who smuggled out a semi-defective bomb of a factory/found one on the battlefield) so it's not impossible I think.

It is not the same. Lumineth was a very small army at release. Cities have a BIG amount of kits right now. 1
