Last two pages of this thread look identical to me, anyone else seeing that? Has the thread gotten so large it's broken?Β πŸ˜„

Edit: and now it's looking OK again, strange...

It happened to me two or three times in the past. It just needs a bit of time.

I don't know what to think. Imho, they should be the same to stop any weird gameplay. What's the diference between this:

And this:

Once per Battle: Pick a single unit. Examples: The one you posted above, you pick A Skyvessel. In waagh you pick A hero.

Once per Battle (Army): Pick a group of units. Example: The one above, you pick A regiment, so several units. Ogor's battle trait, you pick EACH ogor unit.

99% they wont show Khull's new model on friday.Β

What they can show is little teaser art of what he became.Β

This is possible i think.Β

Yeah as awesome as it would be to cap off the faction focusses with a anticipated new model, I don't see it, as there is no way it will be dropping without a new armybook now. I mean I guess if the Khorne book is releasing very soon after SCE and Skaven... But even then the distance to release would still probably be at least 4 months, which seems way too long, especially with 2 major release waves still to be fully shown off.

I’m not against the regiments of renown and do get the balance argument but there’s factions that are affected by the removal of allies more than others. The assorted chaos armies really suffer thematically from not having access to at least some of the StD range: knights, warriors, etc. It’s like the final severing of the old concept and background for chaos forces.

Fingers crossed we even get something like the coalition rules in the eventual battletomes.

Maybe the new battletomes include them as part of their ranges as well? Like some units are shared between armies considering their exceptional case?

The problem is that some people just find it fun when they win...

Some people might. But most people want at least the potential to win, and once a dominating and homogenizing strategy exists that makes you feel like you've already lost when you play what you want, it isn't fun anymore.

Losing to a player that plays better than you, or losing to an army that might exploit the weaknesses in yours can both still be really fun matches. Getting completely stomped in almost all of your games, no matter how well you play, just because the game is unbalanced is one of the least fun playing experiences you can have IMO.

I'd prefer they don't do coalition rules, but instead give models that belong in multiple armies separate warscrolls for each army. Then they can also balance them separately. For example, if Chaos Warrios turn out to be too strong in Tzeentch, you can nerf them (for example by increasing their point cost) without hurting Slaves to Darkness if they use a different warscroll in Tzeentch armies (something like 'Chaos Warriors of Tzeentch'). It would feel really bad if you're a StD player and your army gets nerfed because some of your units are too strong in other armies.

I'm aware that there are also negatives if the same models have different costs or stats in different armies, but I think the positives outweigh them.

They are also already doing this with Nagash in death armies this edition I believe, we've only seen his OBR warscroll so far.

I think today's 40K Balance State is another reason not to buy physical books anymore. I don't play 40K or know how 10th Ed plays differently to previous editions, but when you're rewriting the movement rule, something's gone wrong somewhere.Β

It'd good they're giving the community support. But every core rulebook or codex they've got the shelves that's been altered is now out of date or incorrect.Β

I also don't play 40k, but I'd much rather they alter the rules than leave them in a bad state. I actually think it's admirable that they admit when a rule is confusing and amend it to hopefully improve the game. It's bad that old rulebooks are out of date, but it would be worse if they rules in a bad state purely to avoid things going out of date.

Btw, I just noticed that the book cover pictures Vedra with her maze option (Her favourite one. She even loose it sometimes on purpose but always comes back). Interesting...

Imagen

I would if they will tell something related to that lorewise. if she really changes her weapons or if it is just something purely for the model.

The news that GamesWorkshop will pay out Β£18 MILLION in equal cash payments to all staff is fantastic news. For the first time in the company's history, it will break Β£200 million (An increase of nearly Β£30 million on the same period last year) in pre-tax profit over 2 quarters.Β  (2 Quarters that had Legion Imperialis and The Old World as its tentpole releases with pretty minimal 40k and AoS stuff)Β

The sword is actually her favorite one since it a fire sword he hate the hammer but despite "lossing it" it always come back to her

In Dawnbringer it said she just switch it up depending the situation as she rallies the Devoted with the religious weapon while the freeguild with the sword

I always preferred all Orruks in one book. True Orruk horde contains all kinds of Greenskinz and the army should reflect that. Adding a RoR won't be enough.Β

Same goes for the Cities of Sigmar. Chris Peach's Hallowguild army looked more compelling than current range. What I want to say is... Bring back GA rules! Let us mix the armies!

Mixing armies was always a big part of what I enjoyed about wargames; whether it's justifying a unique force in the world or having a wide variety of things to counts-as, I'm surprised we haven't seen Legends Grand Alliance armies to offer that in casual settings

Wow, that would be great if true. The people at the specialist design studio will be very happy about thatπŸ˜ƒ

https://www.standard.co.uk/business/business-news/warhammer-maker-games-workshop-shares-out-ps18m-among-staff-b1165361.html

"Games Workshop has revealed it dished out Β£18 million among its staff, after the Warhammer figurine maker reported a stronger year of sales and profits.

The Nottingham-based company said it handed out cash payments "on an equal basis to each member of staff" in recognition of their contribution to its financial performance.

The business has more than 1,500 staff working at its global headquarters in the UK, as well as workers based in offices and stores around the world.

Last year, it awarded "group profit share" cash payments totalling Β£11 million to its employees.

Games Workshop said it estimates its pre-tax profit for the year to June to be at least Β£200 million, up from Β£171 million the year prior.

It comes as its total sales are set to have jumped from Β£445 million to Β£490 million year on year."
