Strange that he still have the old armor

That because he was a Lord-Castellant who kept his armor when he became a Knight Questor

Since the Lord-Castellant isn't getting any sort of Thunderstrike update that we know of then he going to continue wearing his Aegis armor

it also old art

Stormcast releases look so much better than Space marines. Love Blood Angels but the models are so boring. Yndrasta and the New Azyros would make better ones honestly. And that great model range of AoS. Not Just Tanks and Guns. Really glad being an AoS Player right now.

Ufff, Lemartes is rough. That‘s a stinker indeed. A kitbash might be the better choice.

I quite like the new Lemartes, I love the original don’t get me wrong, one of my all time favourites, but I love this incarnation it seems like his armour is bolted closed to contain him within, and he feels like he’s much more full of rage… maybe a sign of things to come for Lemartes, but I appreciate the loss of some skeletal details is missed :( but I also think some different colours painted in places would make this model stand out even further!

I was talking about this in one of my WhatsApp groups. If you compare the latest space marine releases with anything else GW did recently, not only AoS, all the time those Space Marines are the worst of all the releases. It feels as if GW felt so confident on the sales that they are not putting in effort anymore.

Two 40k reveals in a row on Monday... when do we get AoS stuff GW ? I can't be bothered to wait until next week's Saturday to get the new Skaven reveals !

Even if let's face it the new Lemartes goes extremely hard.

We have been monopolizing Warcom for months. It is our darkest hour now.

An interesting point that I saw made on the AOS Lore subreddit - GW have subtly altered the lore for the Drogrukh. Originally they were "a peaceful people who lived in harmony with the realm" to quote Lexicanum.

Every Warscroll on the app has a short Lore summary at the bottom - Kragnos' entry now describes the Drogrukh as "one of the most destructive races to have ever lived"

Could they be paving the way for Drogrukh to join Grand Alliance Destruction?

that is... far more boring than the original intent of Kragnos being an outlier and practically forcing a war between himself/drogrukh and the draconith :/ Drogrukh are supposed to have had cities

Anyone else think we are getting a Old world reveal next Monday?

As the preview was cancelled, it would make sense that old world is the next thing to be revealed.

They dont finish to released all the dwarfs. So no.

If the Blood ángel box Will be released before nova, gw Will show the others units on mondays. (Valrak said that there are more new units)

If not, the Next Big thing its new "edition" of kt. And that need to be showed with time.

Yeah good shout on KT. I forgot about that.

It will probably be that then.

I think, considering how long it takes for ToW to get stuff, it will be saved for Nova.

I just think the pose ruins anything decent about it. He looks like a midget to me, but I'm glad you like him. I'm not big on BA so I'm not the one to impress here anyways - if fans are happy, then great!

Got to agree with this I think any remaining gencon reveals will be specialist games now, maybe a heresy character for mech/dark mech, maybe something for underworlds/warcry/blood bowl or KT

It's possible, they showed off the remaining dwarf box sets to be released, earlier today on their fb page (I posted them on the old world thread), so apart from any remaining mto stuff we're now clear of the dwarfs.

The kill team rumor is that it is a new edition so that could be the big reveal.

We already are getting teasers for the new jumpack humans and vespids. Throw in a big new book, new fancy buildings, and some of the new rules to wrap it up.

Arent new editions supposed to be launched during the summer?

The previous edition of kill team launched in August. We know that the AoS launch was delayed by a couple of weeks. That may have pushed kill team into September. For GW the pre-order date counts as launch so we could get a Kill team pre-order on August 31st and it would still count as a Summer release to GW.

He didn't actually keep his old armour when he became a Knight Questor, he only kept his halberd. It was a new, fancier suit of armour that came with a helmet that he refused to wear. Just listened to his book again and loved it!

No way. Their token promotion runs until Halloween. If the game doesn't sell out before then, it will go last chance to buy after that. If the Skaven and Stormcast previews are good it will give the box a boost in sales so we may yet see it sell out.

We do know some data. Gap games in Australia got 200 copies and sold out last week. Alchemist Workshops got 400 and got down to 35 left last week. They then got another 75 boxes. Since then they've shifted another 20 or so copies so the game is selling well by any metric that isn't the insanity of 40k launches.

A big difference between 3rd and 4th is that a lot of people were very worried about the new rules like unleash hell. Word of mouth has been much more positive this time, especially with spearhead.

Any update on Skaventide availability/selling data in your country ?

In my country , Italy, the two big independent retailers have respectively  still 90 and 60 copies in stock , they both offer 25% discount . They probably had few hundreds in stock 4 weeks ago.

Could it be that he is an exception as he is more important (rules Hammerhall) than other Castellants? Another option in my head is that as Castellants are "defensive" Stormcast, maybe they don't die that often, so they are in the middle of the transition.

I think my country may be an anomaly. The Japanese version of Skaventide sold out in two days on the gw store. Both Japanese and English versions are sold out in both many online stores.

My wallet was stolen a couple of weeks ago. I had a four hour wait to get a new id card. While I was waiting I looked at some websites that share stock levels. Of all the counties I looked at Italy had the most in stock. Of the 30 uk webstores I checked 10 were sold out and and anther ten had less than 10 copies left. Alchemist games had the most but they are down to 37 copies. Interestingly they were selling well enough that they reduced their discount from 25% to 22%. Two of the biggest retailers; wayland games and element games don’t share their stock numbers. There’s lot of talk online about Skaventide not doing well in the US but I couldn’t find any store that had more than 50 copies left. It’s possible that no one order many but quite a few US retailers were sold out. I used a list of stores on Reddit to check a bunch of places.

GW released their financial results today. A few interesting things to point out. Trade sales rose sharply but GW’s online sales stayed about the same, which means with the price increases that they sold fewer copies. It makes up just 18% of gw revenue, down from 20% last year. The did mention that people ordering online but collecting at gw stores increased 50%. This is relevant to Skaventide because those customers don’t qualify for the tokens promotion. Those sales are also tracked as retail sales and not online sales.
If we take last years number of 20% for online, the number of tokens and extrapolate from there we get 116000 copies of Skaventide. The final number may not be that high but at least 100,000 copies is a pretty safe bet. GW also mentioned that they have a total of 7200 independent retailers now, 900 more than last year. Assuming trade is selling 60% of gw product if gw made 116,000 copies, that’s an average of 9 copies per store.

GW also mentioned the old world in their report but only to say that it is selling well. No specifics and no talking of record numbers like we saw with Dominion. No mention of AoS 4 except to hint at Skaven.

warhammer plus is still growing but slowly. 176000 subscribers compared to 169000 at the same time last year. They said they are still committed to supporting it, which slightly goes against the evidence of the last few months.

An interesting tidbit is that they made over 40,000,000 plastic sprues last year.
