Positives first: I like the labels on the articles and the expanded sorting options when you go to a specific game system.

I don't care about the read timers since they are pretty useless with short articles like this.

But on a whole it feels too cluttered to me. Like they just wanted to fit in all the features they saw on other modern websites without thinking if it would actually improve the website.

 

I was already using the site on 150% zoom so I wouldn't have the big white spaces on the sides but now the top bar that follows you even if you scroll down also increases its size so I lose space to that and inside an article the right third of space is taken up by other articles so even less space for the content I actually want to see. 

For example this is how an individual article looks like to me now:

So the part I actually care about is only about 40% of my screen and thats after I zoomed in, otherwise it would be even less.

So my final review is, the main page will need some time to get used to but is fine but I really don't like the articles themself

I agree that the zoom is an accessibility disaster. I'm partialy sighted, so have to zoom the text to be able to read anything. Th more cluttered they make these sites the more screen you lose to bits that you don't want to enlarge ( menu bars, sidebars etc.) Current fashions in web design are just getting worse and worse for people with my disability. I really wish we could roll back the clock somehow or at least have accessible reading mode options baked in.

I noticed in some cases there are errors and some seem to have disappeared. The last Skavens short story doesn't work with the previous link, but it is still there. On the other hand, all the Forbidden Power shorts are not there anymore

Checking a bit more the new warcom site I just realized that we could have another short story next week:



We got the Skavens one the day before the preorder, so if we get SCE announced this Sunday, as we are expecting, maybe we get a short talking about them next Friday. It could talk about the new character on crow.

sometimes the rules upload is not synched with the post. Recently it happened with assault on hel's claw.

'And more' are mentions in articles. Only the 5 games will show new models/kits or big news.

So, here's my wishlist of what type of warcry warband I want to see:

• A Big Game Hunters warband (monster-hunters).
• A group of miners specialized in destroying terrain (a company that destroys metaliths).
• Defensive coggmonculus with high saves and ward/ressurect mechanic.
• Arkanatus specialized in melee combat (Copperhats).
• Specialist ranged units in destroying units with Ward, Magic, Manifestations and Etheral (Black Marines).
• Specialist elite foot troop units. Characters like Blacktalons or Callis & Toll. (Drekki crew could be awesome, but a group of elite S.W.A.T. like that dude lost in Barak-Minoz could be enough).

You would get at least a BT and something else. Warcry is something on top of the minimum for each army.

Releasing the rules one day then this the next feels like when you get something from the kitchen then realise you forgot something so have to go back for it.

I really love Brand's Oathbound and can't justify the cost (despite thinking of it as a set of Darkoath Heroes) but I love the models and I love warcry... 😵

Although all my 'darkoath' models are just Warcry models bolstered by 40k accursed cultists on irregular base sizes so they will lead to some raised eyebrows from competitve players anyway. 

Speaking of my Darkoah here is my little warband that I will use for 5 Leagues from Borderlands. Good thing my bad photography helps hide my worse painting lol
