Haven't they gotten a ton of recent support? Oh well with 40k popularity reigns

10th edition they got one hero character

BigMek2024b.jpg

9th edition was ~14 units and majority of it was about the beastsnaggas which was for all those who like playing Snakebites other than that it was normal boyz, the deffcopta, a warboss and a painboy

they haven't tunch any units for Meks, Flashgitz, Lootas, Gretchin, Stormboyz or Killa kans ect ect

However Kill team did bring out some good Commandos

For my own i'm going with

  • Slaves to Darkness
  • Ork Warclans
  • Nighthaunt
  • Cities of Sigmar

I don't remember participating in that betting pool.I think Sylvaneth will come early next year, but Soulblight or NH will come before this time.

Even though I voted for Nighthaunt to come early, I hope they don't. An early book would probably mean that the index problems will continue to exist. I hope they have time to give that book another look based on recent results before it comes out.

-Skaven

-Stormcast

-Soulblight

-Gloomspite

-Fyreslayers

-Skaves to darkness

(Theres people still doubting if the rats will come before stormcasts)

Was gonna do another for 40k, but Im confident on the leaked roadmap being real

In fairness he's not been announced but through interviews/ chats with Sam Egan, he said he was working on Angron next. His sole job within FW/ Specialist Games/ whatever dept. it now is, is sculpting primarchs. What an amazing job! And he's doing an amazing job of it.

Ah I didn’t actually know that, although I remember him telling a group of us directly he was working on both Khan on foot and on bike… I still am waiting oh so patiently for him on bike :( but luckily Angron is my main legion being World Eaters so I would love him to be next

Although, that’s what make it hard, imagine a launch box with Gretchen and storm boyz, etc… it wouldn’t make much sense, I personally think it’s too early for anyone to really have info on 11th launch yet, even the leak a couple years ago that detailed the last  years worth of release and was all correct minus chaos bikers didn’t have info on 10th launch, I think these whispers could alter over time, but hey orcs would be cool and a nice nod to blackreach!

It was a long time ago, in one of those previews where we were expecting a roadmap.

Skavens come first. That's a certainty.

We all know there gonna be more SCE in three years, wishful thinking ain’t changing that fact.

I also get the feeling that Deepkin and KO will lavish for another edition with just a foot hero release (baring something from Warcry)

Honestly if KO and IDK dont recieve new waves that makes it what? 8 years and 9 years for both factions till the next Edition with no major updates?

Ridiculous.

We think it is ridiculous with the current standards, but not so far in time it was normal. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point there's an AoS faction pending for even longer.

I don't follow 40k, but I guess they have some cases like that as well.

Skaven players had to wait for 30 years to get new globadiers. GW can take some time.

That is fun!

For me, it is going to be:

- SoB (1 kit)

- Nighthaunt (1 kit)

- HoS (1 kit)

- LrL (2 kits, perhaps 3, river temple)

More or less mirroring the start of third edition.

oh, I didn't know we were also in for kit predictions!

I think we'll take some time until an AoS army receives something that isnt just a character. A wait of 6 months until the next big AoS wave, that will be for either Cities, or the lizzies.

Actually insane that we know barely anything about it and have seen no pictures of upcoming units.

Actually a good thing for a preview.

True though, just because thats how it has been, doesnt mean we should accept it.

If my factions weren't supported for that length of time I would be livid. Especially those two as they are such unique and cool looking factions in AOS.

Most of the Ogor range is 20 years old at this point.

I don't find it something that bad. Obviously it is up to how many stuff the faction has, but for CoS (that is around the same size as KO or IDK in terms of new minis) I wouldn't mind having another wave of 8-9 kits and then waiting 10 years for something major.

It leaves us time enough to build and paint it all and really enjoy them because if we get releases too quickly it could lead to models being phased out sooner than we want.

It is ridiculous, because the neglecting of certain factions in Warhammer resulted in less players, less sales. A vicious circle. This is not 40K. Stormcasts are not on the same level at all as space marines.

Also the production capacity and the budget is much higher than it was ever the case for Warhammer. There is no excuse to neglect certain factions in AoS.

KO, FS and Idoneth really deserve something substantial this edition.
