Tonhel Posted August 29 Share Posted August 29 What a dissapointed. I can't say I am impressed with the new Stormcast. So after the dragons became a SCE exclusive, now they also claim the griffons? And when is this one designed? The dynamics feel wrong and static. The older palladors are so much more dynamic. The monday articles off the last couple of weeks were much better than this show. I mean, compared with the palladors released years ago, this addition feels older design wise. It could easily been an AoS edition 1 kit. It's not in a charging position. It's a bit of poking with his lance. This is i.e a proper charging position. The roadmaps were a literal bust. The chat was pretty much 50% complaining that the Stormcast looked better than Blood Angels and 50% complaining that Stormcast are worse space marines. I feel like not watching these any more. Roadmaps are hilariously unhelpful, but not a shock considering how poorly giving actual roadmaps went for them last time. To me, the vague roadmaps are just a sign that their release plans aren't set in stone, not really any reason to be concerned for any of the games involved. I don't understand that this was removed for stormstrike palladors that aren't an improvement to the existing palladors in aesthetics or dynamics. I also don't get why this had to be removed. Shame not to see anything more extreme on the Ruination side in the vein of lightning geists but I suspect these won't be the last Stormcast releases we see this edition. Also jazzed to see the Stormcoven mentioned with an indication they're being added back to AoS as a unit, like the Plague Pack were. Hopefully this means several former UW warbands getting reintroduced as generic units for the game. There's some odd things on the road maps that I'm curious about. The AoS one has 'all factions' under the 2025 banner - not all Alliances but all factions. Strange phrasing. The 40k one, meanwhile, has factions under the 2025 banner that they've said in thr same article are releasing this year.
