Probably necessary, just because of how their attempts at injecting changes for newcomers were always written off due to the 'dead game' perception. Hopefully the injection in the arm gives it the kick the game badly needed. Two-board format going isn't too surprising, but it was a cute gimmick. Artwork being replaced by model photos is shame.
