I asked myself which clans would probably make the most sense to represent with the armies of renown edition, and as of lore I think clan skryre and clan Rictus are probably the two clans that where most active during that edition, although for the sake of fun, I wouldn’t say no to a clan moulder and clan pestilence themed armies. any thoughts? So someone has already beaten you to this! https://oldworld.alwaysstrikesfirst.com/ This by Josh Rogers, who created Quartermaster. Yes I agree on its quality, and I'm sad no one seems to be aware of it. I shared it on the main tow Facebook group when the Skaven one was posted, but not much reaction I do feel the current gen of players are very cautious - and overly dedicated to official rules? The vampire counts and revised alliance documents are also fab: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/88sk4divvypjzx1lg4f1z/Old-World-Diplomacy.pdf?rlkey=3470o995so60rtt00mbn4nyus&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9jei13jhr5zsbghgg202e/Arcane-Journal-Vampire-Counts.pdf?rlkey=eosci35wxgk9nxitiknvyb4mo&dl=0 Edited July 4 by petitionercity 1
Sarouan
It's because fanmade content needs you to talk with your group of players and have their agreement to use the said list. It's no problem if you know them for a while, it's more problematic if you don't have a regular group to play with. It's not specific to TOW. It applies to all games. It's just a social matter, no conspiracy behind. Also, not everyone agrees with the design choices of the fan creator for the lists. Some have different ideas / views. And let's not talk about the "balance" issue that is an endless debate. Edited July 4 by Sarouan

Personally I’m just happy legacy is very much allowed in the tow and hh system. i mean considering how aos and 40k do have some people incredible against using legacy units even in non tournament games 2

Uh personally I wouldn’t mind not having the deepkins in old world, but that’s more of a personal issue I have with the deepkins in aos

Ogregut
Really hope once all the armies are released for TOW we get books like the HH ones. The new mars civil war HH looks really good and I'll love to see what they could come up with for TOW.

I even heard mentions about them, but I cannot remember if it is just us speculating, a YouTube channel or official sources.

Skreech Verminking
So guys, I was plan-scheming a few list and read a lot of tow rules of late. I think with the right set up, poisoned wind globadiers can be hilariously deadly against anything as tough as an ogre. they may only come with strength two which isn’t the best thing in this game but combine that with spells that decrease the toughness of a unit by 1, and they become really juicy. i might test them in a 2k game a t some point

Yes , the rumours say that after the release of focus factions , we will have campaign books with GW/FW miniatures. Rob Alderman is both product manager of Middlearth and ToW inside the specialist studio : so we can expect something similar in terms of campaign books and GW/FW miniatures releases. This was a quote from a Warcom article : “ Much of the action in the first wave of books and supplements takes place in and around the Border Princes – the barrier lands between the Empire and Orc territory. Accordingly, we will be focusing on nine core factions.” All arcane journals so far have scenario in and around border princes .

Clan's Cynic
Bit of a marketing ramble/article for the Dwarf Arcane Journal. Copy and pasted my paste from the Dwarf thread: Runic Tattoos can be taken on Slayers and Doomseekers. They can also be Dogs of War for the Empire. Bugman's Cart 'raises spirits' and Mining Cart is full of blasting charges units can throw out. Miners are important to the Expeditionary Force. Scout Gyrocopters (no bombs but faster) for the Expeditionary Force. Royal Clan don't use black powder but get a bigger rune budget. Royal Clan Warriors, which they talk about being a minor kitbash of using the hand weapons/shields with on Hammerers. They didn't go a Slayer Cult list because, like Night Goblins, it was 'too obvious' but Ungrim lets you do it (iirc one of the leaks said he makes them Core?)
