That's the name of a major city in the Elder Scrolls universe as well. It will be interesting if their will be a translation for the old name (after their are translations for lokations since the beginning). Looking at the name it would be something like "Trauerfeste" in German. I don't think that Citynames have to be unique (especially after the realms are that huge) but I would have been weird as well if the city would have been named with the meaning of "Wolf Feast" from the beginning. The vampires need living humans to feed on so they can't wipe out the whole populace. Oh for sure, it's a classic trope - I just mean it's an interesting twist for a dungeon crawler, having the city be more than just a bunch of empty buildings full of monsters and treasures . Makes me hope that'll be reflected in the game - i.e. you'll have to get into the city stealthily, try to undermine the vampire's rule, maybe even whip up rebellion. Black Blade
The only hero I'm not thrilled with is the knight and in two different ways. For one the head is subpar compared to every other model. The hair seems off and facial features seem sour. The other way is the design of the knight archetype. I always loved Empire/Demigryph Knights association with late medieval styles. The puff and slash garments and the stylized armour. Her armour and clothing looks too close to Stormcast design for my tastes, bit too high fantasy. I do like the Gryphon mantle however. robinlvalentine
That's definitely the one hero that stood out to me as well as not being up to snuff - but at the same time, I want to wait until I've seen it in person before judging it too much. I feel like so often lately the studio's paintjobs make a model look worse than it is, particularly when it comes to faces. This paintjob looks really flat compared to the other heroes - compare the level of detail on her armour to the Witch Hunter's leather coat... doesn't even compare. Why did this one get less love than the others? No idea - but I'm betting in person she'll be fine.

Praecautus
I like the model, the functional simplicity works for me. But just my preference as I can appreciate compared with the rest of brilliant models in the box she may seem a different level.

Well, at a glance, we appear to have: 2 Melee tanks in the form of the knight and the Ogor 2 Magic casters in the form of the Missionary and the Shyish mage 2 Range focused characters in the Kurnothi and the Witch Hunter 2 Mixed combat specialists in the Overlord and the noble The last 4 all seem to have some melee ability, though I suspect 2 are more evenly balanced and 2 want to keep their distance. I'm also wondering if the Overlord is the other ranged expert and the Witch Hunter is better in mixed, which feels more correct but isn't reflected in their weapon loadout. Looking forward to finding out! Also, it looks like there's a BL Novel coming out for the city with an additional Hero card printed in the back of the book, Edited February 24, 2021 by OkayestDM

Do we know that this blodsucker isn’t part of Cursed City? I thought he was for the Yet to be revealed Soulblight Gravelords?
RedRowan
Sorry, that’s just me mixing things up although they do say on FB that he may appear in the Cursed City. Steve
Percivael
I think Kritza is for Soulblight as it mentions a bloodline, but I think he might be usable as an adventurer in Cursed City. His connections to the Ulfenkarn are just too strong. He certainly has a bone to pick with Radukar! He might even be the mysterious hero card in the Cursed City Novel!

After you only will get the rules for the 9th Character in the book it would be quite weird if it is a new model. In my oppinion it would make more sense if they would say: "Here you have rules for Gotrek, Bugmansson or a Knight Questor". A Model that is already released at least. Maybe an Expension. Is it also possible that Warhammer Quest - Cursed City will still wait until May, because the Novel Release is not mentioned yet on Warhammer Community Coming Soon and their is stuff until April on the page at the moment. https://www.warhammer-community.com/blacklibrarycomingsoon/

Nah I think it’s almost definitely coming out in March. Element games are promising previews of the box on social media this week . If an independent store are saying this then I assume they have at least a promotional copy in hand and full release is imminent- I reckon preorders on the 13th March. As for the novel, I’m sure someone had an image saying it was coming in March but I can’t remember we’re I saw it possibly Twitter but taken from Facebook. And I agree it probably will be an existing model provided for a bit of fun as a hero card in the novel. But I still think Kritza will be available to use in Cursed City or else why link him so much to Ulfenkarn in his back story? Perhaps he will be the first expansion? EMMachine
The thing is, the book should be mentioned here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/blacklibrarycomingsoon/ At least at the moment the only Books mentioned with AoS are the following: The book should be here if it is released at the same time as the Cursed City Box. Especially after the Books for Direshasm and Warcry Catacombs were in the list before their release.

Steve Oh yeah, I've just checked and its gone. You can still see it in retweets though. I retweeted it @SirPercivael They must have been told no, or its too early by GW. Perhaps GW want to get more announcements (or their own unboxing) in first.
RedRowan
Guessing they jumped the gun, or the schedule has changed since they first got their copy. GW themselves have only put up a few character/lore articles so far so it would be odd for others to start releasing more information first.
