War Surgeon I am making the assumption that the Mascot Gargoylian does not get their own warscroll but shares it with another hero like the Relic Envoy and the Marshall. I've seem some messages about the Soul Shepard, Whisperblade, Great Herald and all those being just 1 warscroll. That would leave room for more stuff as whitefang said.

A kind of "army command" Gobbapalooza that would allow us to actually run all the small specialist heroes without wasting 5 slots on them.
Black_Templar_Lad
So the Soul Shepard, Whisperblade, Surgeon, Arch-knight, Herald and Mascot are all one Warscroll? Like a Dark Souls Command Squad?! I LOVE IT!
Myrmidox
The "new" Cities of Sigmar looks like a mix between Dark Souls and a Peasant Crusade seasoned with the behaviour from the 40k Empire to waste resources on useless ornaments. The guy on his litter chair could also work as missionary or official from the Ecclesiarchy. The artillery looks like a technological regression, a chamber gun with a crane, yeah. All in all i don't like the models, i have no problem with grimdark, but to much details on the models and to low tech in my eyes. But each his own.

Love how weirdly baroque the rest look and I think the first arch-knight has an snarling animal faceplate? By Ornstein we need more of those. The bombard unit being also a wall is really sweet too with the whole gunner aesthetic that they’re a moving fortress of walls and panels together. BY SIGMAR THAT CRANE IS EXACTLY HOW I IMAGINED THE CANNON. Kinda dissapointed by the crew only being 2 models, but still a great mini. 1 hour ago, Whitefang said: Yeah there should be more Yes! Neil Arthur Hotep
Nice to see even more models! And great that we are getting an actual cav hero and don't have to make do with the General on Griffin for buffs.

Neil Arthur Hotep
Interesting: The Hurricanum and Luminark are now WAR MACHINES. Maybe there is potential for new synergies with that in the new tome.

Neil Arthur Hotep
The box says 52 warscroll cards, but the article says 54 warscrolls. Which can both be correct at the same time.

When you consider how many times WarCo have been wrong in their articles (just yesterday with minis number in Solar Auxilia support box for Legion Imperialis), I wouldn't bet on the 54 option... With freeguild cavalier-marshal, and considering that all new foot characters are in the same unit, we end up with 52 warscrolls. So we should have seen everything and not have to wait for any more leaks.

Could still be that some legacy warscrolls are getting combined.

If that's true we still have one more warscroll to see and possibly more if there isn't a non hero luminark and Hurricanum.
DoctorPerils
Do we know if any of the cities have new colour schemes (iirc the greywater fastness is supposed to have been updated?)

Pariah7echo
Its also possible Bleakswords and Dreadspears get combined to free up a warscroll. They're probably the only unit in the game thats the same kit and has 2 warscrolls just for different weapon options. I could also see the Hurricanum and Luminark lose the option to not have a battlemage on them, but thats pure speculation.
michu
Bleakswords/Dreadspears can be also build as Darkshards (crossbowmen). So 3 warscrolls. Edited August 4, 2023 by michu
Freemeta
i'm still hope there is a big center piece, where is my moving Cathedral ? my Cogfort? aesthetic is on point, the palanquin is cool but tiny, i imagined a much bigger mini for a Pontifex. ans it's really human eveywehre could be ok if the assassin was a human/dark aelf mix ? I too expected from this release at least a cathedral and greatsword equivalents! I'm astounded by this release though it's amazing and looks great. I do feel however they'll take the place of stormcast as the poster faction. I expect a second wave like Lumineth in the not two distant future. This will cover the cathedral, new priests and devotees, witch hunters etc. And possibly the third phase will be the cogfort, and more artillery. I think this base to an new army may be the best they've ever started a faction with. Could easily see two battletomes in the future. The crusade battletome and the traditional City guard one.

Like, houses in the US are bland as hell today in part because a lot of developers build them to be renovated and resold in 10 years, not to last 40 years.
