You could definitely just re-badge Leitpold or the guy on Demigryph as new characters of the era, its not like most people even really acknowledged their existence the first time around and they are legit stunning minis unlike some of the dross they have brought back for OW, perhaps as MTO?

Also, the High Elves being delayed does strongly imply they are getting a decent few releases, a barebones launch wouldnt be vulnerable to delays as much, well, unless they broke a key mould or something.

No more new details, but if it helps, the same source for the Fimir rumors has now been correct about the release order, the WoC journal having a Marauder and calvary focused list and new Marauder types, and also that no Chaos Mammoth was returning. I don't doubt the Fimir rumor at all considering all the FW stuff being brought back and how fun the armies of infamy have been in terms of providing variety outside the standard army list. I imagine they'll probably be mercs in that Beasts AoI if not just a special unit or something.

Based on the post from the other day, it was just a new hero, but considering it was one of the best sellers, it will be pretty packed in terms of old minis.

If the sculpts are done. I think there is a big chance that it will be released. It's easy money for them.

I appreciate this is a long stretch… 

I'm hoping for that too. The Balefiend especially seemed to be pretty much done and had rules both in Storm of Magic for 8th AND AoS 1st edition (with points). And that model is the version of the balefiend used in Total War Warhammer for Norsca. So it seemed like for all intents and purposes it was meant to be released and just wasn't.

Praying that it's going to be New spearmen and Silver Helms.

There's no delay, it's just a jab at youtubers who know nothing and were sure high elves were going first.

And I'm pretty sure there will be no new sculpts for standard troops. It will be the old miniatures we know, just like the others.

It probaly is a just a delay due to logistics. 

However there is some speculation, that GW is realigning its releases due to a series of flops, and to cover some of the losses has increased the pace of Old World releases since that has been a big sucsess. 
The flops being Skaventide, a couple of 40K releases like the Kroot and expansion books, and possibly a couple of other releases and hype around 10th not being that popular. 
I'm not sure I belive the speculation, but it does seem that Old World is getting a increased priority for releases.

It is hard to know. I believe @Whitefang said at some point that Cathay were not cancelled, but just shelved for the time being. If Whitefang has this info, others might have it too. I don't think it is impossible that a few concrete details about future Old World plans were communicated to some retailers at some point.

The translation is AI-based. I thought it sounded fairly natural in German, but I can also say that comparing it to the text on other faction sites on this store makes it easy to tell that it's just kind of their own "landing page" text where they swap out a few phrases for different factions.

I don't think the content of this store text is the most interesting thing, however, I think it is more interesting that someone bothered to write it at all.

What about them releasing a bunch of resin miniatures that they bought the license and creating their own scenery? Imo it is the most likely scenario, but hopefully it is full GW material. They even mentioned multiple terrain options.

The store has non-Old World stuff on the landing page for other factions (AoS stuff for example). But as far as I can tell, they don't have 3rd party stuff on there, though (the highest-level category under which ToW resides is "Games Workshop", so that might be dangerous). They don't seem in the business of selling 3rd party stuff for homebrew factions, for what it's worth.

I do know that Element and Wayland have yet to come close to selling through their original allocations of Skaventide. The biggest independent retailer in Spain only sold 10% of their stock of it too. Not to mention last time I looked 2 weeks ago Skaventide still hadn't sold out on GW's store; they were still offering the ultra limited edition with the coins too which only had a stock of something like 24,000.

ofc caveats are that we don't know what GW's internal benchmarks consider to be successful and that the launch box doing poorly doesn't necessarily mean the rest of the range/game is doing bad.

People talking about AoS new edition being a flop are honestly having wet dreams.

Skaventide boxes still being available has more to do with GW making too many boxes.

As for Old World being "way more popular", it's always easy to want it to be true, especially when you hold a grudge against AoS for whatever reason.

They're both miniature wargames, it takes time for new players to have their armies ready to play. That's something that naturally takes time. I don't think people that buy everything to align a 2000 points army in one go are that many. And if they're not interested by skavens or Stormcast miniatures, Skaventide launch box has not so much value to them.
