Freypal
Not sure if I'd missed it but I couldn't see rangers talked about in the warcom article? Have they been slated for a re-release do we know?

Great mini.

Love the Bugmans rangers models, I have a regiment of the last 2 versions and they are great models.

I just looked up the Quarreller kits instructions on r/WarhammerInstructions and you can make them into Rangers by gluing big axes on their backs.
Freypal
Ah I didn't realise they were built from quarrellers too. I remember there being a bespoke kit in 6th for rangers. I think they were metal? I guess these won't be coming back then like the metal longbeards. Really looking forward to getting the arcane tome and diving into the lore for this period. I'm hoping it will delve into the different holds and what they're up to in this period.

Highland Miniatures rangers look pretty good as an alternative.

I think cloaks and perhaps a bunch of travelling gear (backpacks etc.) would sell them as Rangers.

In 6th I think you were meant to use Quarrellers too, but there were even fewer options to make them actually look like rangers.
Freypal
There were these ones which are listed on the wiki as being 6e; Not sure if they ended up being repackaged bugmans rangers though as they look similar? I remember these being sold in blisters of 3 back in the day! Edited March 23 by Freypal

JackStreicher
I've ordered some 3D prints of the Highland Miniature Dwarfs (Sons of Ymir) on Etsy (ABS-Like Resin). After some research I decided on the 28mm scale (fits super well with even the "new" Warhammer dwarves). So stay tuned! (I don't like old models so I'll use them as addition to my CoS Gromril Units) some images of their range Spoiler Edited March 23 by JackStreicher
Mordeus
A guy in our group bought some in 28 scale and I got to say they looked really good. Still a little something off in terms of style for that specific 'warhammer' feel for me but still good. Something about their legs as well feet very big and close to each other, though you can't really see them tbh. Biggest issue for us is he can't play in gw stores which is a bit of a bummer as that's where we play. Edited March 23 by Mordeus
silverstu
I got their Master Brewer [Bugman essentially based on the art] and he's great- haven't painted him yet but really good- I'd be tempted by the rest of their range as well..

To be honest, the bugman’s rangers don’t look like actual rangers either. ’Ranger’ gives me a hooded Aragorn feel, I believe there aren’t any GW Warhammer dwarfs with those looks ever made. Well maybe some in 3rd edition or so.
Kronos
Which lords do people think we’ll see return, it says five in metal. And a Lord Thane and standard in Resin. On top of that, yet further into the future, there are five more sets of mighty Dwarfen legends to be Made to Order. These include a set of five metal Lords, three metal Runesmiths, four metal Dragon and Daemon Slayers, one metal Dwarf Queen, and a Lord, Thane, and Standard Bearer in resin. We can’t show them currently, but these exquisite miniatures will be very familiar to Dwarf players of a particular vintage. I reckon we’ll see these in resin. And these in Metal Doubtful we’ll get but possibly my favourite. Edited March 24 by Kronos 1

And these in Metal I've been wanting these three for a very long time. Fantastic sculpts that still hold up to this day, and that last one is perhaps *the* most iconic non-named Dwarf miniature. 12 hours ago, Kronos said: Doubtful we’ll get but possibly my favourite. And this one is one I really hope comes back. I've wanted one ever since I first saw it in the original 6th Edition Army book over...what, 19, 20 years ago? Will be childhood dream come true if they bring him back.
Double Misfire
Beardlings! These are the heroes all true dwarfs should strive for! (Paintjobs not my own. I only have the unreleased Marauder Dwarf General on Pony, and have never been brave enough to paint him)

Double Misfire
@Kronos I already own almost all the above models, but am hoping that the Imperial Dwarfs listed in the announcement article are the puffy Marauder ones below, because it's been 24 years since Dwarfs with spears had playable rules, and they might hint at the second Army of Infamy (the first being Slayers is all but a given) being an Imperial Dwarf one:
Jamopower
I also have a strong feeling that the other army of infamy would be the imperial dwarfs. Which I have to say would be very tempting for me to get some Imperial units to accompany my stunties.
