Pretty happy with the flamey sword for a minutes work, considering it a test for all the flames on characters in the new box 🔥also I realised from the last photos I posted I forgot a bunch of sword hilts - went back and fixed them this morning. The sculpted textures really carried this paint job Pretty happy that I managed to get the army colours on them with the white gloves and blue strap. I'll try to get better images when I'm doing the big group shot after the rest of the backlog is done. I tried so many different colours for the armour, but in the end went with my original idea; just gold. I'm actually really happy with the end result. To be honest, it's the first miniature I've painted in a long time that I'm 100% satisfied with! With so much gold on him, I think he'll represent an avarice-themed character in my Hedonites horde. The Farseer is a really good model. I like the leader / hero models that manage to be distinct and full of character without being oversized. It's a speed paint army for me, but I put a bit of thought into how I can save time and still get a good result. The main time-saver I am using is the bronze, which is drybrushed over a black to red zenithal. It means that one step paints like 80% of the model to a pretty good standard.
