But it isn't struggling. It has been a huge success and continues to add literally 10's of thousands of new subscribers each couple of quarters. I think it could be so much more, so much better, but once again, people are conflating "I don't like this" with "it's a failure" No, sorry, it's not.

Did they release any kind of info where it is stating that W+ is not a failure? Because everywhere I would ask that I usually visit would say it is, and this kind of movements doesn't help to change that feeling.

Say that to our Fyreslayer player :D

Hopefully we see the whole picture very soon.

    Tomorrow in Warcom...

The indexes are here! Pick them here* and be first one on building** a list I'm our brand new AoS app.

*Only if you are a W+ subscriber. Otherwise you will have to wait until the 15th of July.

** Do you know about W+? You know now.

Funny how they don’t mention Phil Kelly’s last name, even though everybody knows who he is.

Who is he? Not joking. I don't know him by full name. Maybe if I see his face from one of the previews...

I would probably subscribe to W+ if there was even a decent amount of AoS content on there. Monetizing previously free things just makes me less likely to subscribe to W+ and more likely to look for free options or pirate instead.

If you never subscribed it is not that bad. I subscribed for my first year and the content is decent. Between loremaster and all the series (including all the 40k episodes as well) have been nice, also I managed to cover the cost of the app with the exclusive minis*.

    * Covered all but 1 € with the two initial minis but my account got bugged and received a second free minis, but still 1 year of W+ for a € is not that bad.

I was expecting that, but it still hurts. My problem is not with the armybook code-locked content (I don't like the way they choose to monetise the rules, but at least i can understand this approach), but with this weird attempt to save Warhammer+ by restricting the usability of two main games apps.

The next step, we will only sell you minis if you are part of W+.

I don't know, they said everything would become more expensive point wise.

With AoS 3th you got 10 fuseliers for 160 points. So seems a bit unlikely that they good a good chunk cheaper point wise.

Maybe they want us to become a horde faction? So they are worse but cheaper.

The ability to make more than one list? Idk if it's different in your area but that's definitely a free feature on the current app.

True. My bad. I thought I've read that the AoS one was also under W+, but just the 40k one and the AoS only gets a mention:

It amazes me how they are keeping apps like this behind a paywall, and not taking the opportunity to make it completely open and use its data for business purposes....

Besides, WarhammerTV is still limited to certain countries... does it mean that if I'm from Spain, I have to pay 55€ for the subscription just to use the app, but I will not be able to view any content from WarhammerTV?

You can. I pay it and I've watched everything I wanted in Spain as well.

Yeah I love that sneaky little addition. I wonder what other things will "become part of warhammer+" since it doesn't actually say that's the only thing getting paywalled (which is bad enough even if it was). Makes the entire rest of the article kind of useless.

Nothing has changed. It was already part of W+.

And even better, those that were claiming that the app will have a paywall:

When the General’s Handbook 2024-25 is released, all of its rules content will also be available for free in the app, including season rules and battleplans, so you’ll be able to hit the ground running with the new edition.

Even then I don't think its TOW. Orcs & Goblins already released and their new models were already revealed. It would be weird to do a new Orcs and Goblins model now, since TOW is moving on to another army.

Especially if that model has obvious AoS influences. Why release Snarlfang Riders for AoS, and then a bigger Snarlfang Rider model for TOW? Especially when GW is trying to completely avoid cross-compatibility and model crossover, it wouldn't make any sense.

Yeah. I am not speaking about this particular scenario with my latest message. It is too close indeed.

Plotwist they end up being pestigors as Nezzil originally said.

I really doubt that they would release a TOW goblin kit in the design language of AoS gitmob. TOW has been extremely careful to avoid using AoS models whenever possible.

That's true, but before we didn't have ToW as part of the RE, so what was obviously AoS it was AoS. Now it is not necessary.

So im assuming it either some sort of chariot

or a giant wolf to rule them all

Now that you point to that... maybe we are thinking it is for AoS, but there's a goblin character from ToW that has led the narrative but has no character...

Do we know if BoC will get spearhead rules?

Index and "support" until 2025 makes me think we should, but I can't recall seeing mention of them anywhere in relation to spearhead?

Not specific to BoC, but I wonder if the spearhead rules will be included in the index for each faction? Or separate download? If it's the former, there's a chance BoC could get spearhead rules?

It looks like they won't, but nothing has been said. They are supporting them for AoS, not for Spearhead.

Yep. I saw someone pop the decks open on a livestream and double check that it's two identical sets of battle tactics for Spearhead. The launch box has everything you need for two players to play Spearhead together.

Except, oddly, for dice. Very surprised there isn't even a small set of dice in the box.

I guess they assume everyone would have dice at home, lol.
