I'm unfamiliar with the Fantasy timelines, but this says it's before the Collegiate Arcane was formed.  Is that before or after Mordheim took place?  I have bunches of Gutter Runners and Veskit from that series.

    Mordheim was before.

So I would happily welcome the duo, but I feel like Cities of Sigmar has an overabundance of named Witchunters:

Jelsen Darrock is now in Legends, and Callis (or Toll, I always miss which one is) is not a Witch Hunter. I don't think it would be that bad.

Also, seeing how the Grymwatch has been phased out of the FEC battletome, we can see this as a case of Hexbane being removed at some point.

    and named human character.

If you check AoS released content only, remove moved to legends minis and sum my point above about WHU minis, we only have 4 named characters right now. That's why I don't think it would be that bad.

Just read about the Magic...more and more (besides the movement trays/square bases) Old World is looking kinda like Horus Heresy, which I like!  Guess depending on the base sizes of stuff not in a tray, if I could use my AoS stuff I'd give it a try for sure.  Skaven and Ogors were around back then right?

Skavens werent. They were in the middle of a civil war or recovering from that. I am not sure about Ogors.

I know it's a little early, but any rumours as to what will be in the FEC vanguard? I don't wanna buy an Archregent only for him to be included in the box for a much better deal.

Any predictions on what might be included?

I think the Archregent is a particularly easy one to find, as it was part of the Mortal Realms premium kit 1.

First, it makes sense, this is before human wizards even knew about the 8 colours of magic. And the lores are from 3rd ed.
Second, the higher the level of a wizard, the more spell per turn they can cast.

But then this limits you to play during a period before the humans knew about them. So kinda mess around with the theory of moving between period. At least partially. They can always change the rules later, but...

  6. I've been catching up on the FEC interviews with the team. There's a detail that looks awesome!

David: We tried to use physical items to represent heraldry – for example, instead of a boar head painted on a shield, we just used a whole boar’s head. Instead of leaving space for someone to paint a geometrical motif, we designed one from bone and flayed skin.

The following Morbeg Knight seems to have a whole Boar head on its shield! Such a same we cannot see it on the picture.

A potential release roadmap for a series of "Realmtombs" could be approached in several ways. Take Age of Sigmar 4th as an example, If the edition launches in JULY 2024. You could have a couple of months for the initial launch and the first two accompanying Battletomes (Stormcast and Skaven) with a "Realmtome" for a realm (Chamon) Released in September. A Realm Tomb could then be released every four months, with a total of 8 being released across the edition.

    AoS 4th - July 2024

    Chamon - September 2024

    Ghyran - January 2025

    Ulgu - May 2025

    Hysh - September 2025

    Shyish - January 2026

    Aqshy - May 2026

    Azyr - September 2026

    Ghur - January 2027

    AoS 5th - July 2027

If GW wanted to push the boat out then the "Realmtombs" could be released alongside Flaura/Fauna/Scenery miniatures. I think it would be a tough sell for GW to release a book series like this without including some rules. So you could have a bunch of Realm-specific special rules for the different factions, scenarios, and historical battles of note.

I've always thought that Gdubs is leaving good money on the table by not properly investing in a full scenery department. Why they haven't ventured into producing Neoprene mats is beyond me. As a consumer, I should be able to go onto Warhammer.com, go to scenery and for a couple of hundred quid, click a desired realm and get a "Realmtomb", gaming mat, scenery, Flaura/Fauna and some themed gaming goodies like dice, measuring tape etc.

And even if I love that you included Azyr, it could even be removed and leave more time for the rest, as for the moment Azyr is kind of a heaven with no action.

  8. Not AoS, but maybe someone finds it handy.

Someone posted the price of this unreleased box. So it would be in preorders soon:

The user got this promotional free magazine that included some boxes and prices. Salvation would go out for 105 €. Same price than Hunter and Hunted from Warcry, as reference.
